The second of Southern’s Regional Qualifier days was held on Sunday 20th June at (mostly) sunny Worthing, following a rather wet day at Bordon for the first qualifier on 23rd May.
Thanks as always to Competitions Secretary Hilary for her efficient and straightforward running of both days, which ended on Sunday with the announcement of the twelve successful teams that will represent Southern at the Inter-Regionals at Melton Mowbray in September 2021.
The table below shows the overall scores for the two days combined, but this is not the ranking order for Melton Mowbray. Inter-Regional team rankings will be decided by the two-day SCPA Masters weekend to be played on 10th & 11th July at Southsea Petanque Club.
Congratulations to the twelve top teams, and commiserations to the ten who didn’t make it this time, despite some valiant efforts and hard-fought games.
PE rules for the Inter-Regionals have now been published and can be found in the Competition Rules page of their website here: https://www.petanque-england.uk/rules/
Thanks also to both Bordon and Worthing clubs for hosting the two Qualifier days, which are an important part of Southern’s calendar.
