On a day which started dull, then blazing sunshine, then a downpour, then more sun, 23 teams played including one from Switzerland.
A few surprises in the morning – Callum and Tony losing narrowly to Martin and Nigel, Steve Daykin and Tomasz losing to Alex Spillett and Kai Sheffield – meant only 5 teams had three wins: Dave and Jason +37, Alex and Kai +25, Keith and Trevor +23, Michael and Geoff +19, and Aston and Steve +13.
