Attractive rival events either side of this one over the Easter Weekend meant a smaller than usual turnout. Still, a lovely sunny day saw fifteen teams take to the pistes at 10.00. A decent contingent had come up from Kent, and a team from GWR, one from Sussex and the rest all Southern.
Usual format, leagues in the morning followed by Gold and Silver knockouts. Only 4 teams won all three games in the morning – Team Plumhoff (+27), team Spillett (also +27), Team Ogles (+26), and Jason White’s team (+21).
In the Gold semifinals Jason’s team put out team Spillett, while Dave Plumhoff’s team put Mark Duncan’s team into the Consolage. In a surprisingly one sided final Team Jason fannied team Plumhoff to win the trophy.
In the Consolage Mark overcame Sammy Ogles’ team (Sammy Ogles, Kaylee Thatcher and Karen Lombard) while Kerry Thompson’s team put out the GWR team. Hassi’s team beat Kerry’s team in the final.
